Dareduff Hill is located in East Ayrshire, Scotland. FRE plc has erected an EWT DW54 500 turbine and a grid connection has been made to Scottish Power’s 11kV network. The machine began operating in late 2016 – the manufacturer’s estimate is that at the average wind speed for the site (7.3m/s at the turbine height of 40m) the machine will produce around 2,000MWh a year. The site was fully G59 tested and commissioned on 29 September 2016.
The Dareduff Hill project is currently in the process of converting from pre-accreditation to full accreditation through the OFGEM register. The site was allocated a generation tariff at a rate of 12.19p/kWh and an export tariff of 4.91p/kWh under the preliminary FIT accreditation scheme.
